Reflection on Theatre, Screen and Performance

I am relatively happy with the final outcome, considering how lost we were in deciding on a narrative. We incorporated lots of different materials into the set which I think makes it more effective. Overall, I enjoyed the process of making the set, it was interesting to work on a very small scale, creating tiny versions of everyday objects- the attention to detail was something I wasn't used to working on such a small scale with but found I quite enjoyed it. We didn't originally decide to include a little figure of our character, but we placed her in the doorway, attempting to communicate a sense of transition as one side of her dress represents her child-like self and the other represents her as a working adult, the mundanity of everyday life. On reflection, and considering the group crit I think it would have been more interesting if we incorporated some form of lighting with our phones to further emphasise the theatricality of the set.
